First DW Post

Well, everything seems to have imported from LJ okay other than my icons. Anyone know how I can go about getting my icons to come over from LJ or am I going to have to upload each one individually? Never mind. Figured it out.

Now I think I need to go manage my circle.

ETA: If you have a journal here at DW would you please comment so I know how to add you?

ETA 2: I'm a little confused-- I imported my LJ Flist but if you're here too, do I need to have both your LJ and your DW entry on the circle? DW does not appear to actually read entries from LJ, so I'm unclear what having someone's LJ listed as subscribe4d or accessible on DW does.

Having the LJ user allows them to post to your DW journal using the LJ-based OpenID. Other than that, it does nothing. :-)

I was confused too -- I imported my flist, and then wound up unsubscribing everyone and just manually adding those with DW accounts. (It's not like I'm getting rid of my LJ, so I'll just read those folks w/out DW accounts over there.)

You don't need to subscribe to peoples' LJ but if you give them access, then if they log in under their LJ OpenID, then they'll be able to see your locked posts, just like they would in LJ. Also, eventually DW will consolidate OpenIDs and DW IDs so that the comments that you imported from LJ will be linked to their DW accounts.
