Bones season opener + random politics

Okay, well. How shall I put this...

Wow. After that, after that, I think Bones is off my TV-viewing A-list. Gah. Could we have included any more offensive "Ugly American" cliches? Not to mention the ugly relationship antics. And the 'Everyone in Britain talks like an RSC alumnus.' I just pretty much hated all two hours of it. Gah. I may watch an ep or two more but if they don't improve, I am done with it.

In other RL news, I've seen this several places now so I chose this site's edition kind of at random: a view of Sarah Palin from someone who's known her a while. (Warning: if you're pro-Palin you probably wanna skip it.)

Thanks for the link. My sister-in-law lives in Alaska; all that she'd say to my husband about Palin was that she was an "interesting" choice, with that edge in her voice that said she had a lot more to say but not a lot of time to say it in (she was running low on her cell phone battery.)

I'm having a hard time deciding who to vote for this year; politically, I'm a moderate, and in situations where there's no real clear choice to me (I dislike both major parties' candidates pretty equally), I become more disillusioned with the process.

I watched five minutes and then had to turn it off, cringing at the English accents. Very few people have cut-glass upper class accents. And newsflash to the producers and writers of Bones. Strange as it may seem, just because you're a respected academic or have worked your way to the top of the police force that does not mean that you were born to an incredibly wealthy family and have spent your life going to a certain group of public schools (that's private btw).

It was quite offensive really.

Thanks for the link about Palin. The woman scares me. I plan to list the link in my journal, too.
